These rams are our Jacob Flock Sires for 2010 lambs, Garnet on the Left and Diamond on the right. We lambed in April. We have several ewes for sale as well as the above two rams.

The fleeces on our Jacobs are a medium type with some luster and little or no defined crimp ranging from about 26 to 32 microns. Ingrid has written a book on the history and characteristics of the North American Jacob. It is shown on our Products page.

The Jacob is a hardy, lively little sheep needing very little upkeep. We shear and trim feet once a year and find that their hard hoves rarely need any attention. The ewes rarely need assistance at lambing, are fiercely protective of their lambs and never fail to claim them.

Jacobs behave more like goats than sheep and can often be seen sparring and cavorting around the fields. These sheep would rather browse than graze if given the chance. Please Contact us if you would like information on any of the breeding stock.
