HISTORY OF THE FARM

Puddleduck Farm was established in 1974 and has been devoted to the preservation of rare breeds of sheep. A Navajo-Churro ram and four ewes were the initial purchase and a second ram the following year. From these six animals the flock grew to over 40 breeding ewes. Offspring have been sold all over the United States and Canada.

In 1978 Jacob sheep were located in British Columbia. These, plus a pair from New Jersey arrived on the farm to form our foundation flock.

Ingrid was a founding member for the Jacob and the Navajo-Churro Associations and has remained active in both. Navajo-Churro Sheep Association and the Jacob Sheep Breeders Association.

PUDDLEDUCK MACHINE

Puddleduck Machine is a hobby machine shop dedicated to the restoration of old tractors, machine tools and cars. It is also used as a repair workshop for the maintenance of the working farm equipment.
